Its about time!

When I make things, its usually inspired by someone else. I'm really good at copying things (thank you tutorials) but not thinking up of things on my own. Here are some of the new things Ive made.

Our bedroom really needed some wall art (that's not ALL it needs right now) so I searched and searched and found this those are the exact colors in the room and I loved the flower. This is what I ended up with:
I love how these colors look together. P.S. if you see any blue marks, its because it was my first time using those blue tracing markers... For some reason, my marks didn't disappear...
Ive seen these all over. Everyone has a different painting approach (spray paint/paint) I used the 89 cent paint at Michaels for the ones above and Martha Stewart pain from Home Depot for the ones below.
As you can see, it took me a WHILE to get to these... I bougth the vinyl and it kinda just sat there in my to do pile..
All I did for these was paint the canvas and then the vinyl.
Ta-Dah! Beautiful wall art!

I love Home Depot (sometimes)

My dad had told me about how people ask for specific color paint and then dont come back to pick it up, so the store has to sell good quality paint at super cheap prices. Yesterday, we went to Home Depot to get paint for my craftroom. I was stuck between 3 colors that, no joke, we exactly the same! They were maybe a TINY bit different. I finally picked one and started walking towards the paint. I spotted the rack where they put the paint mentioned above and started looking through it to see if there were any nice colors. Long behold! the color that I had picked was magicaly on the bottom row!! I saved 24 dollars! Yay me! This is the look im going for, for my craft room:
This is Heather Baileys studio! Too cute! I also wanted a dresser/armoir/china cabinet with no doors like the one in the picture so I went to a thrift store yesterday and found the PERFECT one! I just gotta paint it white.

I can't wait until its all done!

New House

WOW! Owning a home is such hard work! Especially one that has wallpaper EVERYWHERE! As I was attempting to take some down yesterday my dad walked in and yelled at me because apparently I was scraping into the wall... Oh boy.. I pretty much spent the day painting the dining room with my lovely sister. So much to do in so little time.

Things left to do before move in (by the end of this month):
Guest bathroom
Master bathroom
Paint living room
Paint other rooms and halls
Backyard
Floor in kitchen and paint kitchen

We have three weeks...

AND I have a craftroom again! Sooooo excited! Im going for a shabby chic theme.  So pretty much from now on my posts are going to be about my new house.

Dogs...

For some strange reason my dogs can never lay on the couch without there being something under them. For example, whenever I make new pillows, they dig into them and then lay. Very weird...
